Arsenal vs Man United 03/09/2023 – Verdict
The Gunners will be looking to shore things up at the back when they welcome Manchester United to the Emirates in the Premier League on Sunday.
Even though both clubs have two wins from three games in the Premier League this season, it’s safe to say that neither has quite found their rhythm yet.
Arsenal haven’t lost a game yet, the draw against 10-man Fulham would have hurt and they will be looking to shore up any defensive weaknesses when they host Manchester United.
For their part, the Red Devils were much better in front of goal last time out and scored three against Nottingham Forest but they also conceded twice and had to come from behind to win that game.
The Gunners are going to exploit any and all of Manchester United’s frailties at the back, especially with Raphael Varane now also on the injury list.
However, there may be a chance early on for the visitors with Arsenal potentially trying to keep things tight early on.
The home side have virtually no injury concerns with manager Mikel Arteta likely to field a very imposing and settled team, even if they have been a bit inconsistent so far.
Arsenal have looked the better of the two sides and are favourites to win but it is shaping up to be quite cagey in the first half of the game.
Things will likely open up in the second half or if Manchester United can get on the scoresheet first.
The problem for the visitors is that they have only scored four times in the Premier League this season with three of the goals coming in their previous fixture and they will be playing a side wanting to prove a point.
