Midnight Toker ran a nice race to finish 3rd on his debut at the Curragh and as the only horse in the field with previous experience, he should be able to put that to good use. Of the newcomers, Tanaiyla and Aesop’s Fables make the most appeal on their pedigrees.

Cometh the Man ran a nice race when 4th at Bellewstown on Wednesday and should go well again. Missemma and Andromedas Kingdom have also run well recently and should improve for the benefit of those first runs of the season.

De Puntitas enters handicaps on a very workable mark and the drop in trip should help her. Markievicz was 3rd in a better race than this at the Curragh and should also go close at this level from a decent draw.

Aiden O’Brien holds the key to this race and won this in 2016 with subsequent Royal Ascot winner Washington DC. NEW YORK CITY and KING OF BAVARIA are the clear picks on form and should fight out the finish.

Jezebel Queen beat a subsequent winner on her debut at Dundalk in February and falls into the “could be anything” bracket, as does Show of Stars. Tranquil Lady sets the bar after a fine 2nd at the Curragh when last seen.

Princess Zoe is unlikely to be fully tuned up for this and would no doubt appreciate some more rain, so it is best to focus on Sunchart who ran a fine race when 2nd at Gowran. Search for a Song also must be included as she is so favourably treated at the weights.
