This maiden hurdle probably won’t live too long in the memory, but there are some nice, if limited types on show. The form standard is probably set by Gold Miner and Robin Des Fox, but they have both had their chances to get their heads in front and so it might pay to take a chance on DONDIAM. Trained by Oliver Greenall, he ran perfectly well in a pair of bumper runs at Newcastle and Kempton before making his hurdles debut at Bangor last month. Having tracked the leader, he was still on terms as they reached the 3rd last and although he was readily outpaced, he kept on to his credit to finish 3rd, seeing out his race in the manner of a horse who will appreciate this step up in distance. The winner of that Bangor race has won again since and gives that form a solid look and he represents some decent value to build on that hurdles debut here.

7:20 Worcester – Earth Business

Racing returns to Worcester on Tuesday evening and the most interesting race on the card would appear to be the Novice hurdle at 7:20. EARTH BUSINESS makes the most appeal. He won a Novice hurdle at Exeter in February and if anything, improved on that effort when he chased home the talented Fair Frontieres at the same track a month later. He receives 7lbs from most of his main rivals here and has already proved that he can be versatile in terms of ground. This looks to be a very shrewd piece of placement by the Tizzard team, and it will be a surprise if he can’t go very close.
