3:15 Leopardstown – Irish Gold Cup (G1)
FRODON was good value for his win in the Champion Chase at Down Royal on his last visit to Ireland and looks to hold MINELLA INDO on that form.
They took each other on in the King George and went far too hard on the opening circuit, so it is best to put a line through that form. Paul Nicholls yard have been struggling for form since the annual Flu jabs were given in January and so it is probably worth taking on Frodon this time.
KEMBOY has a superb record at Leopardstown, including when winning this race last season and his 3rd placed finish behind Galvin and A Plus Tard in the Savills over Christmas is the strongest recent form on offer in this lineup. This will be his seasonal target, unlike several of his rivals whose connections will have one eye on Cheltenham next month and it is hard to oppose him on these terms.
