There is a temptation to think that Liverpool have already reached the final in Paris and whilst their 2-0 lead from the first leg at Anfield gives them a decent start, this tie isn’t over yet. Unai Emery has reformed Villareal, and they have already beaten Juventus and Bayern Munich in this competition. They beat Bayern 1-0 here in the Quarter-final and have won 3 of their last 4 at home without conceding, so should at least be able to keep themselves in the tie, but at the prices a cautious stalemate makes a lot of appeal.
