Newcastle vs Brentford 16/09/2023 – Verdict
Eddie Howe’s side took the lead in the 25th minute, just three minutes before Virgil van Dijk was sent off. However, substitute Darwin Nunez scored in the 81st and 90th minute.

Dating back to October 2021, Newcastle have lost just four Premier League matches at home, losing only to Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool.
Brentford have enjoyed their fair share of giant killings in the Premier League, beating Man City (twice), Tottenham, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd since the start of last season.
It would take a brave person to suggest Brentford will win this match, but we know they have the blueprint and the tools to execute it.

An away win would mean Newcastle losing four in a row for the first time since January 2021 under Steve Bruce, with Brentford winning three consecutive Premier League away games for the first time in club history.
