Selections

This year’s FA Community Shield should be a close one and could be decided by a moment of magic by anyone of the geniuses on display, neither side will have home advantage as its being played at Leicester City’s, King Power Stadium.

It’s predicted that both sides will field their strongest line ups and have marquee summer signings leading the attack, so I can see both Haaland and Nunez having big games and contributing massively to this spectacle.

Liverpool’s 4 friendly matches so far (2W,2L) have shown a real mixed bag of form with a 4-0 drubbing by Man Utd to Nunez stealing the show with 4 goals in a 0-5 whipping of Leipzig. In between those games was a standard 2-0 victory over Palace and their last fixture was a woeful 1-0 loss to Salzburg.

City have got the ground running with back-to-back wins over Club America and Bayern Munich, despite heavily dominating both games they were only narrow victories 2-1 and 0-1 respectively.

Key Stats

* 3 score draws from last 5 H2Hs

* Last 20 H2Hs have seen 16 matches (80%) with over 2.5 goals

* Both teams have scored in last 5 H2Hs

I see this as an even affair with plenty of chances for both sides, so a 2-2 draw and It being decided on penalties is my prediction, with City coming out victorious.

I very much expect both teams to score with Haaland and Nunez both getting on the score sheet.
