Despite overhauling their squad, spending an eye-watering amount of money in the transfer market and appointing a high-profile new manager, Chelsea still can’t seem to get it right.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men started the new campaign with a 1-1 draw against Liverpool, but followed that up with a hugely disappointing 3-1 defeat at West Ham last weekend.
The Blues are winless in six Premier League games if you include games from last season. One stat which underlines their current woes is the fact Enzo Fernandez has only enjoyed one win against a current Premier League club since arriving at Stamford Bridge in January – that sole success came against Bournemouth last May.
Luton Town will be looking to take full advantage of Chelsea’s sorry state when they arrive at the Bridge this Friday night.
The newly promoted side have just one competitive game under their belts this season as ongoing work at Kenilworth Road prevented them from playing last week.
In that sole outing, Luton were handed a baptism of fire as Brighton put on a show in a 4-1 thrashing.
While this is a good time to play Chelsea, Luton are not exactly equipped to land much of a punch and there is a worry they could be swept aside by most Premier League clubs.
The Blues are overwhelming favourites to prevail according to the bookmakers and for all their woes, our recommendation is to back Pochettino to land his first win.
