Arsenal are the only team to still hold a perfect record, and Arteta’s men are looking very solid defensively with the addition of Saliba and Zinchenko, plus the goal-scoring nouse of Jesus being added overall. They look very impressive so far. Fulham have started well and are still unbeaten (W1, D2). New signings Paulinha and Pereira have already cemented their places in starting 11, and with Mitrovic Scoring 46 times in the last 50 games for Fulham, he’ll undoubtedly be a major threat.
Arsenal tore up pre-season and have continued that awesome form by beating Palace 0-2 away, Leicester 4-2 at home and Bournemouth away 0-3 last weekend. The first time they’ve won their first 3 games since 2004/05 season, and they have won all of their last 5 consecutive PL matches against newly promoted PL sides by an aggregate score line of 12-3.
Fulham hasn’t fared well in London derbies of late, not winning in the last 25 until last week’s win over Brentford 3-2. Having scored first in 4 of their last 6 away matches, they’ll be looking for that decisive early goal and especially Mitrovic will be, as he has never beaten Arsenal in six attempts and has already equalled his entire tally from his last PL campaign.
Fulham slipped up midweek in the EFL Cup, losing 2-0 away at Crawley, but you can discount any effect you think that might have on morale because Fulham played a second-string team, presumably saving the main squad for this game.
The H2H stats show a win percentage in favour of Arsenal, with it standing at 60% over the last 10 games (D3, L1), with 70% of those games being BTTS and Arsenal scoring 24 times to Fulham’s 10.
