Showed a lot of promise when getting up late to win a Newcastle maiden in November 2023. He was then disappointing on his three-year-old reappearance when beaten at long odds-on under a penalty in a Chelmsford Novice in early May. He has a bit to prove now.

The beautifully bred Dante Stakes entry Lautrec makes his seasonal reappearance in this Novice event at Chelmsford. The winner of his only start at Newcastle back in November of last year, this half-brother to a couple of Ballydoyle Classic winners also holds a Royal Ascot entry. He will be expected to defy his penalty at short odds here before stepping up in grade.
