British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes (GBB Race) 2YO only, 11 Runners, Class 4, 7f 212y
There was plenty of promise from CONSERVATIONIST (5) debut second over 7f at Newmarket (July) recently. Clive Cox’s shaped as though the step up to 1m would suit and she can get off the mark here with progress likely. Dubawi filly DIVYA (6) stayed on nicely from the rear of the field when grabbing third at Ascot first time-out and should have learnt plenty from that experience. The Gosden’s debutante EASTERN EMPRESS (7) is worth a market check while MOVING COLOURS (10) could take a sizeable step forward following a quiet debut for top connections.

Old Boston Handicap 3YO plus, 13 Runners, Class 2, 7f 212y
It’s worth noting how short in the market AKHU NAJLA (6) was when third (beaten 7.75L) in the Listed Heron Stakes at Sandown back in May. Clearly held in some regard its interesting connections have given him plenty of time to strengthen subsequently and with that Listed form certainly working out, he could exploit what looks like a nice mark on his handicap debut. Some rain would probably be welcome for MONTASSIB (3) but nevertheless, he must come into consideration following good efforts at Newmarket (July) and Ascot. BOARDMAN (2) is two from three over course and distance and looks solid while others to note include ASTRO KING (1) and ENCOURAGEABLE (9).

Lester Piggott First To Last Handicap 3YO plus, 16 Runners, Class 2, 5f
EQUALITY (5) looks destined to win one of these big-field sprint handicaps and perhaps today could be his day on the back of a short-head second at Windsor the last out. There should be a stronger gallop on here than when ALLIGATOR ALLEY (7) kept on nicely into fourth over course and distance and plenty looks in favour for him to run a big race. COUNT D’ORSAY (9) is proven over track and trip and can be firmly involved at the business end having shaped well over 5f at Doncaster (soft) lately. Place claims go the way of ISLE OF LISMORE (10) and STONE OF DESTINY (13).

Jill Wilcox-Jones Memorial Handicap 3YO plus, 17 Runners, Class 3, 6f
It’s easy enough to ignore HYPERFOCUS (1) recent run at Ayr and with a record of four from seven over course and distance he can bounce right back to form. RAZEYNA (5) could yet have more to offer and is interesting having shaped better than the bare result when sixth over this trip at Ascot last start. Recent Thirsk third BABA REZA (9) is respected for a yard operating at 22% for the last fortnight and GISBURN (2) and ASADJUMEIRAH (6) both enter the calculations.
