Horses To Follow: Guineas Weekend 06/05/2024
The flat season really kicked into gear over the weekend and there were performances of real note from a selection of AT2 Horses To Follow.
Primary amongst them was the 2000 Guineas success of Notable Speech at odds of 16/1. The Godolphin horse won well and it will be the St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot next for him.
In the 1000 Guineas, Elmalka recorded a first British Classic victory for jockey Silvestre De Sousa at an even more rewarding price of 28/1. The daughter of Kingman looks set for a stellar season ahead.
Friendly Soul took the Pretty Polly Stakes at Newmarket at odds of 10/1 whilst Airman made a successful return to the track following a 10 month break when landing the Novice Stakes up at Hamilton at odds of 4/1.
In addition to these successes, the two-year-old Tropical Storm was caught in the shadows of the post in a valuable Novice Stakes at Newmarket and he looks sure to win a maiden/novice at his leisure.
As the flat season now moves on to Derby and Oaks trials at the likes of Chester, Lingfield and York in the coming days, it will pay to keep a track of entries for a number of AT2 Horses To Follow.
