All eyes will be on the warm favourite Life is Good and if he arrives in the same form that he showed when winning the Pegasus in January, then he deserves his place at the head of the market. However, he isn’t certain to stay a strongly run 10-furlongs and having been drawn in stall 1, he will need to use up some early energy to maintain a prominent position into the first bend, which could leave him vulnerable in the closing stages. HOT ROD CHARLIE has plenty of form in the US that would give him a chance and he was an extremely impressive winner of an Al Maktoum challenge race here in February. Saved for this race, he is tactically versatile and could find that the race falls into his lap in the closing stages if the leaders go too hard in front. Although he has work to do with his main US rival, there is not as much between them as the market may suggest and he is value at around 11/4.
