1:50 Sandown – Privatory
A winner of his only start in France at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in December, the form of the race won by PRIVATORY could not have worked out better. The 2nd placed horse, Norville, has won twice since including at Listed level, the 3rd Nante, won on his next start too, as did the 6th and 7th. In a relatively fast time, Privatory travelled extremely well throughout and battled on nicely after the last to win what turned out to be the best 3-year-old hurdle run during the Cagnes winter series. As a 4-year-old, he is a very exciting prospect and receives weight from all his rivals on Tuesday. At a track where his new yard does exceptionally well, it will be a surprise if he can’t make a promising start to his career in the UK.
2:55 Sandown – Douglas Talking
Lucinda Russell makes another long trip down to Sandown with DOUGLAS TALKING, but on the evidence of his last run here 3-weeks ago, that could be well worth the effort. He made all the running to win over this course and distance last month, recording a good time in the process and always holding the talented Torpillo who finished 2nd. The handicapper has reacted by raising him 7lbs for that effort, but he is very unexposed over fences and has won both his starts over the larger obstacles in good style, so there is every chance that he has further improvement in him. He looks to be going the right way and this race doesn’t look to be any deeper than the contest he won 3-weeks ago, so he has every chance of completing his hat-trick over fences.
