Jim Bolger won this race 12-months ago and the well-bred FINSCEAL GO DEO looks like he could be an above average type on paper. MEGGY MOO needs to be included given her sires record with precocious 2-year-olds, as does OCEAN QUEST who is the first runner for Sioux Nation as a stallion.

PRIMO UOMO ran a nice race at Dundalk in midweek and should go well again if turned out quickly. LAUGH A MINUTE has also had a pipe-opener on the all-weather and should improve with the benefit of that run at Dundalk last month.

TOY is a sister to Gleneagles and was unlucky not to make a winning debut here in October, she is an exciting prospect to look forwards to this season. PERFECT THUNDER ran well enough in 2 maidens in the autumn to suggest she can run well in a race like this, whilst of the newcomers, HA HA HA makes the most appeal on paper.

Those with racecourse experience don’t set the highest standard, though BOUNDLESS OCEAN has group form from 2021 so should at least run his race. The newcomers IVY LEAGUE and CULCOR make some appeal and wouldn’t need to be too special to get involved.
