1:30PM Turners Novice Chase
BOB OLINGER and GALOPIN DES CHAMPS will hopefully deliver one of the best races of the week and it will be a huge shock if they don’t fill the placings.
2:10PM Pertemps Final
SIRE DU BERLAIS has an excellent record at the festival and has already won this race twice, so he must be included. ALAPHILIPPE was an eye-catching 5th in the Warwick qualifier for this race and looks to be very well treated on a mark of 138. PILEON has run well at the festival before and looks to be one of the best handicapped horses in the field. WINTER FOG is the unexposed horse in the field and could be anything.
2:50PM Ryanair
ALLAHO won this race 12-months ago with the best performance of the week and it will be a huge surprise if he doesn’t deliver again.
3:30PM Stayers Hurdle
This race is wide open this year, with last year’s winner FLOORING PORTER looking the most likely to run his race. On their day, both CHAMP and KALSSICAL DREAM can win this, but neither can be fully relied upon. THYME HILL is perhaps the forgotten horse in this field and looks to have been carefully prepared for his shot at Cheltenham glory.
4:10PM Festival Plate
CELEBRE D’ALLEN is on a steep upward curve of improvement and having won his last 3, he can’t be left out. IMPERIAL ALCAZAR won a key race here on trials day and looks to be the most unexposed Novice in the field. GRAND PARADIS enters handicaps on a very workable mark.
4:50PM Mares’ Novice hurdle
PARTY CENTRAL has arguably achieved the most of these and should be involved in the finish. LOVE ENVOI is unbeaten in 5 starts and won the Jane Seymour at Sandown despite making a bad error at the 2nd last so she needs to be included despite the penalty. Willie Mullins has won 5 of the 6 running’s of this race so his pair of BRANDY LOVE and HORS PISTE need to be included too.
