For the time of year this looks to be a very competitive bumper at Limerick and whilst the previous winners Chosen Time, Hunters Yarn and Kilbunny Pontic are worthy of respect, they may struggle to give a penalty away to GRAND SOIR. John McConnell is having a good season and this son of Cokoriko is well related to several winners in France and arrives here on the back of a very impressive win on his only start between the flags. He won that Lingstown geldings maiden by 15-lengths and the form has been boosted in the interim with both the 2nd and 4th winning on their next starts. He is a strong travelling type and should appreciate the soft surface on his rules debut. Given the profile of his main rivals, he is likely to be a bigger price than he should be and could make a winning start to his rules career.
