This race was won by Eshaada 12-months ago before she went on to finish 2nd in the Ribblesdale and eventually win the Fillies and Mares on Champions Day and it could be another springboard for a smart Filly in the shape of NASHWA.The Gosden team appear to have a very strong hold on the Fillies division this year and judging by the performance of Nashwa at Haydock, she could also fit the bill. She finished 3rd on her debut at Newmarket in October but built on that effort with a comfortable 6-length victory on her return at Haydock last month, powering clear under Hollie Doyle in the closing stages to record an easy success. The 2nd placed horse ran well at Ascot last weekend to give some credence to the level of form she achieved and given how easily she won, in a decent time figure, she looks sure to be capable at this level. Her breeding would suggest that this 10-furlong trip should be well within range, and she looks to have more scope for improvement than her 6 rivals. She holds an Oaks entry and if she produces another impressive display, she could well be the horse to give her stablemate Emily Upjohn the most to think about at Epsom.
