Ryan Moore has chosen to ride Bluegrass, but he looks like he will need every yard of this trip and so the Ballydoyle 2nd string, SCRIPTWRITER makes some decent appeal. He won a Gowran Park maiden in September before finishing 5th in the Autumn Stakes behind Coroebus at Newmarket. He travelled extremely strongly in that race and was last off the bridle, but once the field reached the dip, he struggled to remain balanced and changed his legs twice. He looked likely to fade out of things, but once he reached the rising ground, he regained his momentum and galloped on through the line. This more conventional track and the extra trip should suit, he holds entries in the Dante and the Derby, so is presumably seen as a decent classic prospect and could confirm that on Saturday.
