On ratings he was entitled to win that maiden contest, but he put in an extremely professional performance and pulled fully 7-lengths clear of the field under Ryan Moore in the closing stages. With race fitness on his side and that crucial first win on his CV, he makes a lot of appeal at this level and if he is given the same positive ride by Wayne Lordan, he should prove hard to beat.
