A tight race on paper, but with most of his rivals having questions to answer over their fitness and recent form, this could be the day for MANDOOB.
Brian Meehan has his team in excellent form, with 3 winners from 12 runners in the last fortnight (25% SR) and he will be hoping that Mandoob can deliver on the promise he has shown. Although he was beaten by 2-lengths in the Buckhound Stakes at Ascot, he did bump into a rejuvenated Al Aasy, who has an excellent record fresh, and the pair were over 2-lengths clear of the rest. The 3r placed horse, Third Realm, won at Goodwood on his next start, whilst the 5th placed Universal Order finished 2nd in a hot handicap at Haydock 2-weeks ago.
That piece of form looks far stronger than anything else in this race and with conditions to suit, Mandoob should go close.
