Selections

The winner of this race 12-months ago, Greaneteen has a fantastic record at Sandown, as he proved when he won the Tingle Creek here in December. He should handle the conditions better than most of his rival and is the only truly genuine Grade 1 horse in the lineup. His usual rider Bryony Frost is injured, but Harry Cobden has ridden him before and knows him well, so it shouldn’t be any real cause for concern. He is worth forgiving his poor showing at the Dublin Racing Festival behind Chacun Pour Soi. It came at a time when the yard was out of form and he raced around the inside, which turned out to be the worst of the ground at that meeting. Given a break since, he has far fewer questions to answer than most and should take all the beating.
