He may not be the horse he once promised to be, but Whiskey Sour looks to have been found a good opportunity to gain a 7th career success. He won a Grade 1 novice hurdle here in 2017 and has been running consistently in both codes since returning from a long absence in April last year. His 5th placed finish in a Grade A Handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse in November reads well in the context of this race, as does his 3rd placed finish in the Grade 3 Limestone Lad hurdle last time. He was beaten less than 4-lengths by Darasso and Saint Felicien and there are no horses of that calibre in this field. He is 11lbs clear of his nearest rival at the weights and looks to have been very well placed by Willie Mullins to add another win to his CV.
