It is probably fair to say that there have been better renewals of the Pendil in recent years, but this looks to be the perfect opportunity for PIC D’ORHY to get another Grade 2 win on his CV. He produced a career best when winning at this level at Ascot before Christmas and is worth forgiving his 3rd placed finish in the Scilly Isles last time, when he tried to match the Cheltenham bound L’Homme Presse and paid for that effort in the closing stages. The yard form remains a slight concern, but he appeared to run his race at Sandown 3-weeks ago and should appreciate the slight drop in grade. On Good-to-soft ground around a flat speed track like Kempton, he should be in his element.
