This is a competitive renewal of this race, but there isn’t a standout candidate and so in receipt of her 7lbs mares’ allowance, ELLE EST BELLE represents the value bet in the race. 3rd in last season’s Champion bumper at the Cheltenham festival, she was beaten over 2-miles in the mares’ bumper here behind Me Too Please, but that served to highlight the fact that she needed to go up in trip and since she has, her connections have not looked back. She won the Sidney Banks at Huntingdon on her last start, beating 3 next time out winners in the process and showing herself to be tactically versatile. That effort was a career best and she has been saved for this race instead of going to Cheltenham. Likely to be doing her best work at the finish, she is some excellent each-way value.
