Normally in a small field it would be a tactical affair, but the presence of the free going For Pleasure guarantees that this will be a truly run race. That should suit both EDWARDSTONE and THIRD TIME LUCKI who both have ambitions for the Arkle at the Cheltenham festival next month and bring some solid form to the table. Edwardstone got the better of Third Time Lucki in the Henry VIII at Sandown, but the Skelton horse was far too free in front that day and the change in tactics at Doncaster brought out a lot of improvement. They should get closer this time around but at the prices it is perhaps worth taking a chance on BRAVE SEASCA.
Venetia Williams is having an incredible season and her 7-year-old gelding has significantly improved this season, winning his last 3 starts, including over course and distance last month. Although he received weight on the day, he beat the 157-rated Sky Pirate by 7-lengths and is well worth his place in this company.
