This looks to be an above average renewal of this race and all eyes will be on LORD NORTH. A multiple group 1 winner, he is a clear pick on ratings and if he brings his best form on Saturday, he will be hard to beat. That is quite a big “If”. He has been off the track for almost a year and surely his bigger targets than this ahead, most notably a return to the UAE next month to try to defend his Dubai turf crown from last season. With that in mind, he is worth taking on, especially at such cramped odds.
FANCY MAN is the unexposed horse in the field. Richard Hannons 4-year-old is 2-2 on the all-weather and won the trial for this race 3-weeks ago with something in hand. He may not need to find too much improvement to trouble Lord North, especially is his illustrious rival isn’t fully tuned up.
