With just a week to go until the festival, quality is in relatively short supply on this Sunday’s cards, but PATAGONIA makes some appeal on his 2nd start over hurdles. Oliver Greenall’s yard has finally begun to hit form in the last few weeks, and it is worth noting that Patagonia ran well over this course and distance in December at a time when the team were struggling for form. He settled nicely under Henry Brooke and made good headway before tiring in the home straight, where he made an error at the 2nd last. This was still a good debut, the winner has gone on to be rated 125, whilst the 3rd has also won a novice hurdle in the interim to offer some substance to the form. This looks to be a relatively weak contest and with the natural improvement, he should go close.
