The winner of this race in 2019, Kemboy returns for another go in a race that looks perfect for him. He didn’t go to Cheltenham and that gives him a fitness edge over many of his rivals who had hard race in the Gold Cup less than 3-weeks ago. He won that 2019 running by 9-lengths, with Clan Des Obeaux a distant second and under the same conditions there is a very good chance that he could repeat the dose. 5^th in the Irish Gold Cup on his last start, he can be excused that effort as he raced wide throughout and there didn’t appear to be any advantage in covering the extra ground (those who raced wide finished 4^th, 5^th and 6^th). With Willie Mullins in excellent form, he looks to have a great chance of adding to that record.
