This is a very difficult start to a Placepot with just 4 runners. EARTH LORD, FAIR FRONTIERES and DOCTOR KEN all bring winning form to the table, but in receipt of weight CAMDONIAN is also worth considering after a promising start at Chepstow. With just 1 place available we need to include all 4 in a tight race.

Another small field. INDEFATIGABLE ran well behind Martello Sky at Cheltenham in December and that form has been well advertised since. She is included along with MARIE’S ROCK, who is best forgiven her no show in the Lanzarote hurdle., whilst GET A TONIC should find this easier than the Listed Novice he contested at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day when she finished 3rd to Hillcrest.

A third small field to start the card, but the presence of For Pleasure should suit the other 3. EDWARDSTONE and THIRD TIME LUCKI will both be helped by having a pace to follow and they each have solid claims for the Arkle next month. That said, the dark horse in the race is BRAVE SEASCA who has improved rapidly this year and completed the hat-trick in good style over this course and distance last month.

FINE CASTING was an impressive winner at Newbury in January and a 6lb rise looks more than fair for that 4-length win. GENUFLEX is also worth including after he chased home 2 talented horses at Huntingdon and his 4-year-old allowance brings him into the equation.

OUR POWER has looked very progressive this year and he beat a subsequent winner at Huntingdon last time out. CELEBRE D’ALLEN returned from a long absence to win twice over hurdles in December and he is of obvious interest as he returns to chasing.
